About Us

Bright Star Farm is the home of the Schrom family and some very special animals. The farm is named after a horse I used to own and for an old family name on my mother's side. Even though I grew up in the suburbs in upstate New York, I am absolutely a country girl at heart. I attribute this fact to the large amount of time I spent on my family farm near Harrisonburg, Virginia. It was here that I learned to love the country and all that it offers. This farm was named "Bright Acres Farm". So, the name of my farm is not only a tribute to an old family name, but also the place that helped begin my love affair with country life.

Bright Star Farm offers thoroughbred stallions for stud service. Horses are also occasionally offered for sale.

In addition to this, Bright Star Farm is committed to helping horses in need and will often taken in unwanted, neglected, or abused horses. These horses are fully vetted and worked with until they are ready to be placed in new homes. If you have a horse who needs a home, contact me to see if we have a spot for them.
